Virginia Vineyard Weddings
Our Beautiful Chesapeake Bay Wedding Venues
It’s quite ironic that one of Southern Living’s “Four Favorite Romantic Getaways” was once a school that forbade schoolyard flirtations. Today, our inn features some of the most beautiful wedding venues on the Chesapeake Bay. Our inn’s gardens were featured on Historic Garden Week in Virginia and our Virginia vineyard was selected by Virginia Tourism as one of Virginia’s Ten “Best of the Best”, and are both ideal settings for lavish and romantic weddings.
If you’re planning on tying the knot in Virginia, let us fulfill your dreams with a truly magical experience. With gorgeous English gardens, 16 fabulous guest rooms, our highly praised Executive Chef Meseref Crockett, an exclusive floral designer, and an officiant on staff, the Hope and Glory Inn is the perfect place to host your wedding or elopement.
Small to large and beautifully simple to extravagantly elegant, leave everything to us. We host no more than five weddings per year. This allows us to truly focus on a select few weddings and ensure that they are exact reflections of each couple’s desires. Get married on our front steps underneath the words “Hope and Glory”, host a whimsical garden ceremony or say your vows on the grand staircase in our lobby. We can host rehearsal dinners and receptions for up to 75 guests at our inn venues, though additional guests may be considered depending upon reception type.
Our vineyard, The Dog and Oyster, is another most sought after romantic option if you’re looking for vineyard wedding venues in Virginia. Enjoy six-acres of beautiful vineyard backdrop and a tented reception decorated to your taste. The vineyard has an unlimited capacity for the large wedding of your dreams.
It should be mentioned that should the reception or rehearsal dinner be held in one of our hotel venues, most often, we would likely require that the wedding parties commit to exclusively booking our 13 rooms and cottages for two nights. This gives you and your guests the exclusive use of the property for the weekend.
Contact the Hope and Glory Inn to learn more about weddings and to take a tour of our Chesapeake Bay wedding venue. Once wed here, all of your days will be filled with hope and glory.

“With your help and orchestration, our wedding was even more than we dreamed it could be. The entire event was seamless and perfectly planned; the flowers were elegant and gorgeous and enhanced the already magical surroundings. Thank you for making our entire experience so enjoyable.”
“Well, I have been on cloud 9 since the wedding. Not only did I enjoy it immensely — everything was perfect — but everyone keeps telling me how fantastic it was, especially the food. They were honestly the best crabcakes I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. I know you have added to your already enormous fan club. I think everyone is planning a trip back to Irvington, including the groom’s mother. Thank you for everything.”

“Words cannot describe the magical wedding that you all created for us. After all of our bouncing between wedding vendors, we finally found our home and our family at this wonderful place. You really made all of our dreams a reality. And, we weren’t the only ones that took notice – I cannot tell you how many guests said that this was the best wedding that they have ever been to! And, many of them are planning to come back! The combination of wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings is unparalleled and took our event to a new level. The food, the flowers, the atmosphere…we will truly remember this day forever.”
